Ketamine IV Therapy for Depression & Anxiety
Ketamine IV infusions avoid many of the side effects of oral medications. Commonly-prescribed antidepressants and anti-anxiety pills often take weeks or months to start working. How Does Ketamine IV Therapy Work?
Ketamine IV therapy works by increasing brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF). BDNF is a growth factor in your brain that is creating new neural pathways that have been damaged by debilitating depression, chronic stress, and pain, etc. Ketamine can restore healthy neural pathways and promotes the development of healthy neurons. Here are some of the most common scenarios where we prescribe Ketamine IV therapy to treat depression, anxiety, or other disorders:
- If your current medication(s) is no longer working,
- If you are suicidal or otherwise incapable of functioning,

Many clients find their existing medication works better after ketamine therapy and don’t feel the need for further ketamine infusions.
